Try it free with a test shop

A test shop is a shop of your own where nothing is real: no money moves, and it never emails a customer. It is free. Write to us and we set one up.

The overview of a demo shop: a checklist of what is left to do before it can sell, then its orders and takings today, and its most recent orders.

What happens next

Signing up on this site is not open yet. Until it opens, a test shop starts with an email.

  1. Write to us

Email contact@talstok.com with your shop’s name, what it sells, and whether you sell at a counter, online or both. If your products are in a spreadsheet, say so.

  2. Get your test shop

We set it up with the parts that fit what you sell, and email you an invitation to log in.

  3. Try it with your own products

Add your products, sell at its till, and place an order on its website with a test card.

  4. Go live when you are ready

Your live shop is set up beside the test one. You pay from £20 a month for each shop that takes real money. Plans for each kind of shop, with add-ons on top, are being decided. The pricing page will say what each includes once they are.

Before you write

Is the test shop free?

Yes. Nothing in it is real, so there is nothing to pay. You pay from £20 a month for each shop that takes real money.

Why can I not sign up on this site?

Signing up on this site is not open yet. Until it opens, a test shop starts with an email, and we set it up for you by hand.

Can I bring my products from Shopify?

Not directly: importing from Shopify is not built. You can paste the text of a CSV file into Talstok’s import screen, with each product’s handle, title, variant, stock code, price, stock, description, category and barcode. The import adds new products; it does not update existing ones.

What happens to the test shop when I go live?

Nothing. Your live shop is a separate shop, set up beside the test one, so you can keep trying things in the test shop without touching real orders.
