Every part of Talstok, and how it fits together.

A base is one of Talstok’s seven main features, such as the till, stock keeping or the online shop. Two of the seven are coming. Each base works on its own, and any you tie together share one set of products, one stock count and one order list. A module is an extra feature on top of a base, switched on by itself. Modules are coming.

AI

Your own assistant or agents, working on your records with a key you control.

How AI works in Talstok
Your records sit underneath. The bases work on them, each on its own or tied to the others, and two of the seven are coming. On top sit modules, which are coming: extra features, each switched on by itself. Your own AI can work on the same records if you want it.

Start with the bases your business runs.

A website is one of them. Run your business with no website, or use the system for your website alone. For any kind of business.

Then add modules on top, one at a time. Coming

A module is an extra feature on top of a base. Switch on only the ones you want, the way you add apps to a phone, and pay for each one by itself. Switch one off and everything it recorded stays.

  • Bookkeeping and accounts Coming

Every sale, refund and supplier order kept as your books, with nothing typed in twice. On every base.

  • AI built into Talstok Coming

Reports, analysis and help building your website, on a monthly allowance. On every base.

  • Stock kept topped up Coming

An order goes to the supplier by email when an item runs low. On Stock keeping.

  • Reminder texts Coming

A text to each customer before their booking. On Bookings.

  • SEO and AI-search tools Coming

Tools to get your website found in search engines and in AI answers, with optional AI help. On Online shop.

Promises to every business

  • No charge per person

The price is per shop, never per person. Give every member of staff their own log-in and role.

  • Your records are never locked

Switch a part off, or stop paying, and nothing you recorded is deleted.

  • Exports are free

Download your stock, customers and reports as spreadsheets at any time. The owner can also download the whole shop, including the parts that are switched off.

  • Billed monthly

Each shop that takes real money is billed once a month. There is no yearly commitment.

Some ways businesses put them together

Tie together only the bases your business runs. The businesses named are examples: each mix suits any business that works the same way.

  • Till and Stock keeping

Sell in person, and every sale comes off one stock count. You do not need a website.

A market stall or a corner shop, for example.

  • Online shop on its own

A website from Talstok with your products on show, whether or not you sell online.

A business that only wants a website, for example.

  • Stock keeping, Till and Online shop

One stock count at the counter and on your website, with till sales and online orders in one list.

A shop that sells in person and online, for example.

  • Buying in and Stock keeping

Each second-hand item is kept one by one, by its serial number or IMEI, with its own price and photos. Your buy prices and grades can be shown on a website of your own, connected by a developer or a coding assistant.

    A second-hand or trade-in shop, for example.

  • Services, Stock keeping and Till

The till sells products from one stock count, and your price list for the work you do can be shown on a website of your own, connected by a developer or a coding assistant.

A repairer or a salon, for example.

  • Bookings Coming and Till

Customers book a time, then pay at the till.

A salon or a barber, for example.

Ready-made set-ups

Choose the kind of shop you run in Settings, and your shop starts set up for it. Every part of that set-up stays yours to change.

  • Four kinds to choose from: second-hand goods, food and drink, clothing and books
  • The option names new products start with, such as size and colour for clothing
  • Starting grades for second-hand goods and books
  • The parts each kind uses switched on, such as best-before dates and recalls for food and drink
  • A grade you reworded or a part you switched off is never overwritten

A till laid out the way your kind of business works Coming

For example:

  • A bakery’s till opening on today’s bakes
  • A salon’s till opening on the day’s bookings
  • A takeaway’s till sending a phone order to the kitchen

Apps and languages Coming

  • Apps for tablet and desktop Coming

Planned for later. Today everything runs in a web browser, on a computer, tablet or phone.

  • Other languages Coming

The system in the language you and your staff work in, and your website and online shop in your customers’ languages. Today everything is in UK English.

From £20 a month.
